Austria's Benjamin Raich won the World Cup super-combined event in Kvitfjell, Norway, on Friday to consolidate his lead in the overall standings and Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal won the title in the speciality.

Raich leads the overall standings on 1,045 points with six races to go.

Raich was 11th in the downhill, but he then excelled in the slalom to make up the deficit and step up to the top of the podium.

Raich clocked 2 minutes 21.22 seconds to finish 1.41 seconds ahead of Switzerland's Silvan Zurbriggen.
