font size

The Chinese navy task group left Karachi Tuesday for China after multinational naval exercises AMAN-07 (Peace-07), which was held in the Arabian Sea off Pakistan from March 6 to 13.

The task group, composed of two guided missile frigates, Lian Yungang and Sanming, and led by senior captain Qiu Yanpeng, was seen off by Chinese military attache major general Li Mengyan and general consul Chen Shanmin at the harbor.

AMAN-07, or Peace-07, was initiated by Pakistan. During the period, warships and task forces from Bangladesh, China, France, Italy, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States held joint naval exercises in the North Arabian Sea to display united resolve against terrorism.
