font size

Two JF-17 Thunder military aircraft have arrived in Pakistan for further flight tests and evaluation by the Pakistan Air Force, China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC) said on Wednesday.

The JF-17 Thunder aircraft, an advanced multi-role Light Combat Aircraft, has been jointly developed by China and Pakistan.

The arrival ceremony of the aircraft was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra on March 12, CATIC said.

The aircraft will make its debut in Islamabad on March 23, it said.

Last May, the fourth prototype of JF-17 Thunder aircraft, equipped with exclusive avionics and weapons qualification systems, completed its first test flight in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The first prototype made its first test flight in 2003.
