U.S. President George W. Bush had on Monday a discussion through telephone with Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono over a new UN resolution on Iran's nuclear pograms, the White House said.
The two leaders "talked about U.N. Security Council efforts, including the current draft resolution designed to address Iran's continued failure to respond to concerns from the international community over Iran's nuclear program," White House spokesman Tony Snow said.
Bush and Susilo also "discussed their mutual hope for a positive, ambitious outcome from this week's meeting of the G-33 trade ministers in Jakarta," Snow said.
The G-33, in which Indonesia is currently serving as the chair, is actually a grouping of 46 developing countries.
Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim-populated nation, is a new non-permanent member of the Security Council. It is also an ally in the U.S. war against terrorism.
