31 trade activities to be staged during "Year of China"in Russia

Thirty-one trade-related activities, including four at a national level, will be staged during the "Year of China"in Russia, said vice Minister of Commerce Yu Guangzhou at a press conference in Russia last Friday.

The four national level events are National Chinese Exhibition, the 11th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum; the 2nd China-Russia Economic, Industrial and Commercial Summit and the 4th China-Russia Investment Promotion Fair, said Yu.

During the "Year of China", 27 activities will be held relating to special subjects including trade, energy, transport, finance, information technology, postal communication, agriculture, quality inspection, environmental protection, medium and small businesses and regional cooperation. These activities will enable Russian people better understand China today as well as boost cooperation between the two countries.

In Moscow, the National Chinese Exhibition, themed "cooperation, a win-win situation and harmonious development", will be held from March 26-29. It will be the biggest exhibition China has held overseas in almost three decades, according to Yu.
