Indonesia, the biggest Muslim country, called on Wednesday to continue negotiation between Palestine and Israel, without any pre-condition, in order to fully settle the dispute in the region.
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono told reporters at his office asked the newly-established shared government in the Palestine could take concrete steps for resuming the stalled- negotiation toward the completed settlement of the problem in Palestine.
"I think the most importance is the resuming of the negotiation. It is not necessary to start again with any pre-condition, which can disturb for the starting of the negotiation itself," he said.
The Quartet of Middle East peace mediators, comprising the United States, the European Union, Russia and the United Nations, asks any Palestinian government to recognize Israel, renounce violence and abide by peace deals.
The president said both Hamas and Fatah factions could discuss about the agenda of the next meeting.
President Susilo also urged other countries to acknowledge the unity government comprising the two factions.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday warned of "bad results" if the international community does not recognize the new coalition government.
The Palestinian people have suffered six months of siege and boycott.
Fatah party entered in a coalition government with Hamas movement on March 17 after a year of Hamas rule. The coalition government was reached according to a Saudi-sponsored deal.
Indonesia, which has no diplomatic relation with Israel, has been taking part in effort of creating peace in the Middle East region since years ago.
The country has initiated for the meeting of Hamas and Fatah leaders in Jakarta for the establishment of a unity government of Palestine.
Besides Indonesia has also sent over 1,000 troops to Lebanon to joint the peace keeping operation there.
