As the second test result of a 14- year old boy who died of suspected bird flu shows positive, the death toll of bird flu in Indonesia has reached 70 out of 91 cases, an official of the Health Ministry said Thursday.

The boy who begun sick on March 13, died on last Saturday in west Sumatra province, one day after he was admitted in a hospital, a director of the ministry Nyoman Kandun told Xinhua by telephone.

The number of bird flu cases in Indonesia has increased recently after months of absence of new cases, putting the country as the hardest hit by the disease.
