State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in Beijing Monday.

Tang praised the contribution Maha Chakri Sirindhorn had made to cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries in recent years.

Tang said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the relationship between China and Thailand. The Chinese side is very confident about the development prospects of Sino-Thai relations.

Sirindhorn said she was happy to have this opportunity to revisit China. She said she would introduce things she experienced in Beijing to the Thai people in order to further promote the friendship between China and Thailand.
