Shanghai's IP television subscribers to exceed 1 million
font size

Shanghai will soon have the world's largest number of IPTV subscribers. There are currently 300,000 subscribers and this number will hit 1 million by the end of this year, according to reports from the signing ceremony for a memorandum on strategic cooperation between SMG (Shanghai Media Group) and Nielsen.

The most popular function of IP television is the ability to "make public television people's own television". Subscribers can both order programs from a program bank and replay TV programs that have played within three days randomly. People who miss their favorite programs can catch it up at a later stage.
