Next two days critical in standoff with Iran: Blair

The next two days will be "critical" in efforts to resolve Britain's dispute with Iran over a seized British navy crew, Prime Minister Tony Blair said Tuesday.

"The next 48 hours will be fairly critical," Blair told Scotland's Real Radio, while cautiously welcoming the new suggestion of talks by top Iranian official Ali Larijani.

"If they want to resolve this in a diplomatic way the door is open," he said.
