Two U.S. soldiers killed in Baghdad

Two U.S. soldiers were killed and one injured by insurgent small arms fire in two attacks in the Iraqi capital on Tuesday, the U.S. military said on Thursday.

A Multi-National Division - Baghdad was killed when his convoy was attacked by small arms fire while conducting a presence patrol in an eastern section of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.

A second soldier from the same unit was killed and another wounded by small arms fire while conducting a foot patrol in the southern outskirts of Baghdad, another statement said.

About 3,260 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U. S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
