Disappeared Kenyan plane found in north Tanzania
font size

A twin engine plane that Kenya notified Tanzania as missing over the past weekend, has been found ditched in a remote village in the Ngorongoro district in northern Tanzania.

Reports reaching here on Thursday from Arusha said that both the pilot and the trainee pilot had been injured but did not identify the two pilots.

Arusha Regional Police Commander Matei Basilio told local media that the Kenyan government had earlier informed the authorities in northern Tanzania of the disappearance of the plane with a Kenyan registration of 5YAZW.

The plane, a Cessna 150, crash-landed in the village of Wosiwosi in the afternoon on Sunday, according to the reports.
