Task Force Lightning soldier was killed and two others wounded in a roadside bomb attack in north east of Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Friday.
The attack occurred on Thursday when the roadside bomb exploded near a military vehicle in Diyala province, the military said in a statement.
More than 3,265 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
