Two U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq

The U.S. military announced Friday the killing of two of its soldiers and wounding of three others in two incident Thursday.

A soldier was killed and another was wounded in shooting incident in Iraq's northern province of Kirkuk, the military said in a statement.

The incident is under investigation, the statement added.

Earlier in the day, another statement said that a soldier was killed and two others wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near a military vehicle in Diyala province.

More than 3,265 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003, according to media count based on Pentagon figures.
