Chinese vice FM discusses Darfur with U.S. deputy secretary of state

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo on Monday evening talked via telephone with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte.

Both sides discussed the situation in Darfur, a war-torn region in western Sudan, and especially on how to solve the Darfur issue through persistent political and diplomatic efforts.
