Chinese Vice President meets UAE FMChinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Beijing on Tuesday and vowed to push forward the comprehensive development of relations. Zeng highlighted the achievements of bilateral cooperation since the two nations forged diplomatic relations 23 years ago, saying China valued the mutual respect and mutual benefit of friendly relations with the UAE. China appreciated the UAE's adherence to the one-China stance, Zeng said. He said the Chinese government was willing to strengthen coordination and consultation with the UAE on regional and international issues. China and the UAE were economically complementary and could cooperate in trade, investment, energy and infrastructure construction, Zeng said. Abdullah said the UAE always attached importance to the UAE-China relations, expressing the hope that the two sides could promote friendly exchanges and cooperation. He said the UAE would continue with its one-China policy. At the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, Abdullah arrived in Beijing on Monday for an eight-day official visit.
