font size

Top Vietnamese legislator Nguyen Phu Trong on Saturday arrived in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to continue his first China visit.

Nguyen, chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, will meet with Liu Qibao, secretary of the Guangxi Autonomous Region Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and other officials.

He will also tour Nanning International Exhibition Center and a modern agrotechnology center.

Nanning is the last leg of his week-long good-will visit to China, which started on April 8.

Nguyen is making his first China tour since taking office last year.

During Nguyen's stay in Beijing, Chinese president Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo and top political advisor Jia Qinglin met with Nguyen separately.
