Nepali Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat has urged the business community to make necessary arrangements for strong industrial security in the nation, local media reported Tuesday.
Inaugurating the 55th general convention of the country's oldest business community organization, Morang Business Association, in Biratnagar, some 240 km southeast of Kathmandu, the Finance Minister said the government plans to attract more foreign investment by implementing airtight industrial security measures in the nation.
Acknowledging the lack of security for Nepal's industrialists, Mahat said the government has already started doing homework for the protection of private sector investment through strong industrial security measures, reported local website ekantipur.com. Stating that the government was committed to security of businesspersons, Mahat urged the business community not to launch strikes and other disruptive agitations over petty issues.
