Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer Thursday strongly condemned the attack on a publishing house which distributed Bibles in eastern Turkey in which three people were killed.
Sezer said in a written message that murdering of three people in a publishing house in the city of Malatya was a "heinous" attack targeting the current environment of peace and tranquillity in Turkey.
Offering his condolences to families of the victims, the president said the killing "cannot have any justifying reason" in a period in which the country need utmost peace and tolerance.
Meanwhile, Malatya Governor Halil Ibrahim Dasoz said ten people have been under police custody in relation with the murder.
On Wednesday, three people including a German citizen were killed at the publishing house with their throats slit and their hands and legs bound and another person was injured in the attack.
