Valentino Rossi from team Fiat Yamaha qualified at the pole position with one minute 52.795 seconds at the Turkish Grand Prix in Saturday's qualifying session at Istanbul Park.

Rossi's team mate Colin Edwards from the United States got the second grid with 1:52.944 and Spaniard Dani Pedrosa of the Repsol Honda became third with 2:05.299.
