Oil futures fall

World crude oil futures fell on Thursday as concerns over Iran eased.

Light, sweet crude for June delivery declined 78 cents to 65.06 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for June delivery lost 92 cents to 67.65 dollars a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange in London.

Iran's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani said Thursday that his talks with EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana churned out new ideas on breaking the impasse over Iran's disputed nuclear program. Iran is OPEC's No. 2 producer following Saudi Arabia.

U.S. Energy Department reported on Wednesday that its crude inventories rose by 2.1 million barrels last week, but its gasoline stockpiles fell 2.8 million barrels, to the lowest level since Oct. 7, 2005.
