South Korean midfielder Park Ji- sung, who is now contracted with the British football club Manchester United, will receive an operation on his knee in the United States, local media reported on Saturday.
Park has traveled to the United States to visit world renowned knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman, whose past patients include Ruud van Nistelrooy and Michael Owen, local reports quoted officials of the Manchester United as saying.
Park's club is not sure yet how long it will take for Park to fully recover from the injury.
