Singaporean president arrives in Zambia for private visit

Singaporean President Sellapan Rama Nathan arrived in Livingstone, the tourism city of Zambia, on Tuesday for a private visit.

Nathan, accompanied by his wife and a 50-man delegation of business executives, was received at Livingstone international airport by Zambian Tourism Minister Kabinga Pande representing President Levy Mwanawasa.

Others receiving the Singaporean president included Southern Province Minister Joseph Mulyata.

Nathan is later this afternoon expected to tour Victoria Falls in the capital city of Southern province.

The Singaporean president is expected to leave the country on Wednesday morning.
