Eleven Iraqis killed in explosions south of BaghdadEleven Iraqis were killed and 19 others wounded in two bomb attacks in a town south of Baghdad on Wednesday, an Interior Ministry source said. "An explosive charge went off inside a KIA minibus in Mahmoudiyah, killing eight passengers aboard and critically wounding four more," the source said on condition of anonymity. Separately, several mortar rounds landed on a residential area in the town killing three civilians and wounding 15 others, the source added. Mahmoudiyah, some 30 km south of the capital, is part of a rebel area dubbed "Triangle of Death", which includes a cluster of towns on the main road from Baghdad to Hilla City, some 100 km to the south.
