Outside force was accused of supporting a failed attempt to assassinate Madagascan President Marc Ravalomanana early last month.
The police investigating the case said that the armymen who carried out the plot had received financial supports from outside of the island country, according to the Express, a French-language daily published here on Thursday.
Madagascan Prime Minister Charles Rabemananjara announced last Sunday that 10 military men had been arrested for their attempt to kill the president on April 3, one day before a national referendum on the revision of the constitution.
Further investigations revealed that foreigners were also involved in this case, the police said.
A senior police official told the local media that 25 people had been questioned.
However, neither government officials nor the police gave any further details concerning the case, only saying that the investigation was still going on.
