Over 800 Nepali workers who reached Malaysia for earning more money for running their family and spending their life happily have been stranded in Malaysia, the National News Agency RSS reported on Thursday.
According to the report, workers of Diger Fisher Company of Kuala Lumpur, Bemby Rubber Product Company of Bantharubaru, Selengar of Sepa along with other companies have been stranded.
As per the report relayed by Dolendra Sharma of Jyamarukkot Village Development Committee of Myagdi district from Malaysia over the phone, the proprietors of those companies have not given the facilities to the workers as specified in the contract paper, but are even charging them for electricity and water use.
They have locked up all the workers inside the company and burnt their clothing as well, it is reported.
According to him, those workers were sent there from the East West Overseas Private Ltd. and Himalaya Job Explorer Private Ltd of Kathmandu.
