During his one-week visit, Cheney will meet with UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, and Jordan's King Abdullah II, Cheney's office said in a statement.
Cheney will have discussions with the leaders "on key issues of mutual interest," the statement said, but give no details.
In addition to the summit meetings, "the vice president also will meet with U.S. military commanders and speak with U.S. troops stationed in the Persian Gulf region," the statement added.
