China introduces export licenses for 83 steel products

An Indonesian man died of bird flu on May 3, bringing the death toll of the disease to 75 out of 95 people infected by the H5N1 virus in the country, according to the health ministry's Public Communications Center on Monday.

Based upon the result of laboratory tests carried out by the health ministry's development and research agency, the man known by his initial as A (29) was found positive with the virus.

The Eijkman Molecular Biology Institute here had confirmed the result of the test, the Antara News Agency reported.

The man who worked as a trader showed bird flu symptoms on April 25 and was taken to a hospital in Pekanbaru, a city of Riau province in Sumatra island, on April 27.

On May 1, he was transferred to Gleneagles Hospital in Medan, North Sumatra, but at 11.30 p.m. on May 3 he died.

Up to now, bird flu virus has attacked 11 provinces in Indonesia.
