Crude prices rebounded Tuesday as fresh attacks on Nigeria's oil facilities.

Reports said that militant raids have now shut 844,000 barrels per day, or 28 percent, of output in Nigeria, Africa's biggest producer.

Light, sweet crude for June delivery rose 76 cents to 62.23 dollars a barrel after hitting its lowest since March 22 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for June delivery gained 1.12 dollars to 65.56 dollars a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange in London.
