Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Gia Khiem agreed on Friday to seriously carry out the important consensus reached between leaders of the two countries and step up China-Vietnam all-round cooperation.
Yang told Pham Gia Khiem, also Vietnamese deputy prime minister, China is ready to join hands with Vietnam to deepen cooperation in the areas of politics, trade, technology, culture and education, and strengthen coordination in international and regional affairs.
The two foreign ministers agreed to give full play to bilateral specific cooperation committees and promote bilateral relations up to a new level.
Pham Gia Khiem accompanies Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet on a four-day China trip.
