Chinese vice premier calls for auto cooperation with Italian Fiat group
font size

Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan met with Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the Italian Group Fiat, in Beijing Thursday, calling for more cooperation in the auto industry with Fiat.

Zeng said Fiat, as a world-known automobile manufacturer, has contributed to the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

China's auto market has expanded rapidly in recent years and will show a promising prospect as China's economy maintains a good momentum and people's consumption power rises, said Zeng.

He said he hoped Fiat could grasp the opportunity and conduct cooperation with Chinese enterprises on a mutually beneficial basis.
