Israeli special forces arrested four Palestinian brothers in a quick predawn operation in central Gaza Strip on Saturday morning, security sources said.
Four hours after midnight, Israeli soldiers entered al-Maghazi refugee camp on the eastern border between Israel and central Gaza Strip. They stormed a house and took the brothers after searching their residence.
The sources added the Israeli side gave no information to the Palestinian authorities about the detention, which is the first operation on the ground since Israel launched air strikes on facilities affiliated with the ruling Hamas.
In the other development, the Islamic Jihad (Holy War) movement claimed responsibility for launching a home-made rocket into southern Israel city of Sderot.
The bombing was to avenge the killing of an Islamic Jihad member in an air strike on Friday, the group said in a statement.
The level of violence has decreased in the latest four days as Palestinian factions hold talks in Cairo, trying to narrow their differences and agree to a ceasefire with Israel.
