Prime Minister of Barbados Owen Arthur visited Xi'an in central China's Shaanxi Province on Wednesday.
Arthur said he hoped to expand cooperation with Shaanxi in agriculture, tourism and trade during a meeting with Zhao Yongzheng, executive vice governor of Shaanxi, on Wednesday evening.
Zhao also voiced his hope to further friendly relations between the two countries through the cooperation between Barbados and Shaanxi.
Arthur arrived in Beijing early Wednesday morning, kicking off a five-day official visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
Upon his arrival, he headed for Xi'an, an ancient capital of China, and visited the city's landmark, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, on Wednesday afternoon.
