Leaders from the Group of Eight (G8) leading industrial powers closed their annual summit on Friday in the northern German baltic resort of Heiligendamm.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose country holds the rotating G8 presidency, described the summit as "successful."
The G8 leaders sealed deals on climate change and aid to Africa among the issues during the three-day summit.
The group gathers Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the United States.
