Chinese Taipei scored a convincing 10-0 victory over Guam in the East Asian Football Championship Preliminary Competition which opened in Macao on Sunday.
Chinese Taipei opened the scoring in the fifth minute through a power shot from Lo Chih-En.
Chinese Taipei, which ranked 167th in the world, performed more aggressively after their first goal and led into the second half with a scoreboard 5-0.
After the interval, Chinese Taipei extended the gap larger and larger and Lo Chih-En finished his hat-trick in the 90th minute and gave his side the 10-0 win.
There are six teams participating in the tournament, comprising Chinese Taipei, Guam, Mongolia, DPR Korea, Hong Kong and Macao. The winner of the tournament will qualify for the East Asian Football Championship in 2008.
