Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu on Wednesday expressed his hope for closer cooperation between China and Swiss agrochemicals giant Syngenta, in a bid to promote the development of China's agriculture.
"I hope your company will conduct better cooperation with China's Ministry of Agriculture and other agricultural organizations," Hui said in a meeting with visiting Chairman of the Board of Syngenta Martin Taylor.
Hui praised cooperation between the two sides and Syngenta's contribution to the development of world agriculture.
Taylor said he considered the cooperation with China as a great opportunity for Syngenta and he believed Syngenta could help China develop its agriculture, for example, in raising the yield, quality and safety of agricultural products.
