Portuguese soccer club Maritimo has named Brazilian Sebastian Lazaroni as head coach.
The 57-year-old Lazaroni will arrive at Madeira on Friday to attend a press conference to talk about his contract with Maritimo.
Lazaroni coached Brazil's national team in the 1990s World Cup, and coached Brazilian teams of Flamengo, Vasco da Gama, Gremio and Botafogo.
Maritimo's new coach also headed Italian teams of Fiorentina and Bari, as well as Turkish teams Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor last season.
Lazaroni will be replacing Spaniard Alberto Pazos, who failed to steer Maritimo to a UEFA Cup berth.
No financial details of the deal have been disclosed yet.
