Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz arrived at Egyptian Red Sea resort Sharm El-Sheikh on Tuesday afternoon for talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories.
The talks between Abdullah and Mubarak are expected to focus on the Palestinian situation following Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip and the stalled Middle East peace process.
The Mubarak-Abdullah meeting came one day after a four-way summit, which was also attended by Jordanian King Abdullah II, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
Monday's four-way summit, aimed at bolster Abbas, produced no significant result.
The Saudi king is expected to visit Jordan on Wednesday for talks with his Jordanian counterpart.
