Malaysian school principal bids retirement farewell by copter
font size

A Malaysian secondary school principal took a helicopter and flew off into her life of retirement, a local daily reported on Saturday.

Chan Sim Ai, who served five years at the helm of SMK Bandar Utama, a secondary school located in the state of Selangor which frequently caused the public's eyes with its activities through co- curriculum or sports, left the school field on Friday on a helicopter rented by the school, the Star said.

The helicopter circled the school field after taking off and Chan waved to those who gathered there for her last school assembly.

Some school teachers said that the school wanted to do something memorable to show its appreciation to the principal, according to the newspaper.
