NPC vice-chairman meets U.S. congress delegation

Sheng Huaren, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), met here Monday with a delegation composed of assistants from U.S.-China Working Group under the U.S. House of Representatives.

The 12-member delegation is paying a visit to China from June 30 to July 8 at the invitation of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee.

Besides Beijing, the delegation will visit northwestern Qinghai and Gansu provinces, and Shanghai in east China.

Also on Monday, Sheng met with a delegation of the House of Representatives of Australian Federal Parliament.
