Time to say goodbye to college

This year is called the "harshest-ever employment season". Seeking jobs, thesis, graduation photo shoot and goodbye dinner constitute the final memories for graduates before leaving school, but also allow them to experience the busiest and most memorable last days in college.

On June 19, Zhang Shaokui, a senior student, sorted out his things just like other graduates who are about to leave the campus at Tianjin Normal University. He sticked the map of Beijing onto the wall, and said,"This is where my girlfriend and I rent the apartment. It is the smaller bedroom in a flat at South 3rd Ring for 1,200 per month." He took the map as a conclusion to his four-year study at the college.

Zhang has been planning to make a living in Beijing for a long time, but he has not got any chance. The past few months had been the most exhausted period in his college life. He has sent out nearly 30 copies of resume, and attended 14 job interviews. But no one gave him a job offer. For one time, he was so thrilled when the company did not ask for a particular rank of the university. However, when talking about the salary, he conservatively expressed "3,000 yuan to 3,500 yuan" as the ideal wage. The company then told him that there was a more competitive applicant several days ago asking for the same salary.

The difficulty of finding a job is a problem faced by most of the graduates this year. According to data released by Ministry of Education, the number of national college graduates reached nearly 7 million in 2013, an increase of 190,000 over last year. On the other hand, the number of recruiting posts has reduced nearly 15 percent on a year-on-year basis. No wonder it is called "the hardest job in the history of season."
