Jinjiang City, headed for the future

Located on China's southeastern coast in Fujian Province, Jinjiang City's development mode is one of the nation's four modes for rural economic growth. The city ranks number one in Fujian Province's top 10 districts and has been included in the top 100 Chinese counties and cities in terms of national overall strength, for four consecutive sessions.

Once a year, Jinjiang buzzes with commercial activity when it hosts its annual International Footwear Exhibition, which takes place from April 18 to 20 this year, attracting manufacturers from across the world to the city in a bid to raise its place on the international trade stage. The city, nicknamed China's "Shoe Capital," reportedly produces one billion pairs of shoes annually.
