Poland is a country with wonderful culture, fascinating history and beautiful scenery, and is looking forward to welcome more Chinese visitors.

This was expressed by Polish ambassador to China Tadeusz Chomicki and Vice President of Polish Tourist Organization Elabieta Wasowicz-Zaborek.

In a recent interview with Xinhuanet, the two Polish guests stressed the uniqueness of Poland -- a perfect land of rich history, monuments, castles and vibrant culture.

“The famous one is Chopin, the composer. Music and also beautiful arts like painting, photographs. These are our daily life,” they said, adding, “Poland also has good shopping. There are special things like amber jewelry which is the most beautiful in the world.”

China plays a vital role in Poland’s overseas tourism promotion, they said, as the Polish authorities have taken measures to cooperate with China.

“Today, there is a meeting between Chinese tourism party and Polish representatives, finding some new ideas for tourism products. We have translated our website into Chinese so there is all necessary information for Chinese tourists,” they noted.

The guests also said they are well aware of the popularity of Internet in China and are looking for the most impressive news media to cooperate with.

For this purpose, they are sure, Xinhuanet, as one of the most influential networks in the world, is an important cooperation and promotion partner.

When answering questions on traveling safety in Poland, they repeated, “We have proved many times that Poland is a safe country.”

“During the European Championship last year, thousands of tourists in Poland and they felt really safe. We offer many ways to help tourists. For example, we have a helpline for helping tourists solve problem like losing your passport or simply lose your way; tourists can also go to information center for help; and there are always policemen to help you.”

The guests also offered detailed advice to Chinese tourists on specific information: direct flight from Beijing to Poland, a perfect first station in Europe for further traveling around other countries, like Germany, France and Italy.

Visa application, usually taking three to five days, can be sent online and arranged in embassy and consulates.

Poland does not belong to the euro zone, but tourists can exchange currency in banks while credit cards are wildly used.

Poland is a country in Central Europe, bordered by Germany to the west; the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south; Ukraine, Belarus to the east.

Its capital Warsaw is an international city with various cultural activities. It has the main airport of Poland and developed infrastructure like dining places and hotels.
