The construction of Beijing Olympic venues is going smoothly, and most of the main structures of the stadiums have been completed, a spokesman of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) said at a press conference on July 11th.
According to the announcement, 31 Beijing-based competition venues and 5 auxiliary facilities have already begun construction. Except for the Fengtai softball venue that has completed construction; most of the venues and the auxiliary facilities still under partial construction have completed that of their main structures.
