A suicide bomber targeted a vehicle of Turkish forces serving under NATO flag in Afghanistan, injuring two persons including a civilian on Wednesday, a police officer said.
"It was around 9 a.m. this morning when a suicide bomber tied explosive material in his body targeted a vehicle of Turkish soldiers coming from Wardak province in Company area southwest of Kabul, injuring a solider and one passerby," police officer Abdul Ghafar told Xinhua from the scene.
NATO forces here have yet to make any comment on the incident.
A Turkish civilian military Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) has been serving in Afghanistan's Wardak province to help stabilize security there.
A similar attack against NATO convoy almost in the same area inflicted casualties on the alliance forces some two months ago. Source: Xinhua
