A map marking out financial institutions in Beijing will debut at the Finance Expo scheduled November this year. Presently there are 104 financial companies and 109 foreign financial institution offices (including 34 headquarters) gathering in and around the city's Central Business District (CBD). Along with the entry of the Deutsche Bank, the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange, CBD has established itself as the area of the largest number and most diversified forms of financial institutions. Some foreign-funded banks also moved their headquarters from other cities to the capital.
According to Huo Xuewen, vice director of the Beijing Finance Work Coordination Group Office, the map will first carry headquarters and branches of financial institutions including banks, and will be revised annually to add sub-branches and outlets in an effort to serve the public with detailed information on financial services.
