In the first five months of this year China registered 21.53 million arrivals of tourists (overnight visitors), up 10.08 percent year on year, according to the State Tourism Bureau. Of them 8.12 million were foreigners, up 19.7 percent. Tourism revenue stood at 14.8 billion U.S. dollars, up 13.08 percent; 16.03 million outbound tours were recorded, up 14 percent. The number of tourists received and revenue during the two "golden weeks", the Spring Festival and the International Labor's Day, rose 20.9 and 23.2 percent respectively.
