Swedish help is on its way to Peru which was hit by an earthquake last week leaving at least 500 people dead and tens of thousands homeless, Radio Sweden reported on Monday.
The Swedish Rescue Services Agency is sending a transport plane from Gothenburg, carrying tents and other necessary equipment for earthquake victims.
The 93 tents are going to Pisco, south of Lima, and they can hold around 600 people altogether. Along with the tents are heaters, blankets, tarpaulins, sleeping bags and water purifying equipment.
