King of Morocco pardons 488 prisoners on eve of youth festival |

King of Morocco Mohammed VI has pardoned 488 prisoners on the eve of Moroccan youth festival to be celebrated on Aug. 21, according to a statement issued Monday by Moroccan justice ministry.
Out of these prisoners jailed by different tribunals in the country, 331 had their prison terms reduced.
Aug. 21 is also the king of Morocco's birthday.
