A roadside bomb explosion targeted a police patrol in central Baghdad on Thursday, killing a civilian and wounding three others, an Interior Ministry source said.
"A roadside bomb detonated near a police commando patrol near the Sha'ab Stadium in central Baghdad in the morning, killing a civilian and wounding three others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The blast apparently missed its target, damaging two nearby civilian cars, the source said.
Insurgents frequently attack Iraqi security forces, accusing them of collaborating with the U.S. occupation.
